BN PU for Les Paul
« on: October 08, 2013, 07:03:34 AM »
Hi i am looking for a BN Neck PU which sounds wirily/percussiv raw and fits well in a darker sounding Les Paul but no aggressive highs. For the Bridge a nice Clean sound and also nice tones for solo. Playstyle maybe allrounder/Progmetal......

Thanks for advise

Not much to go on here but based on the little you've said, I'd be tempted to try Cold Sweats.
BKP owned:

Bridge - Emerald; Cold Sweat; Crawler; A-Bomb; Holydiver; Miracle Man; Sinner; Trilogy Suite

Neck - Emerald; Cold Sweat; Crawler; Holydiver; Sinner; Trilogy Suite

I second that.

Black Dogs maybe.
They may lack a bit in the "raw" department but certainly tick the "percussive" and "no aggressive highs" requirements as well as nice cleans and solo tones.

Cheers Stephan
