putting bareknuckle juggernauts in my ibanez...
« on: January 31, 2014, 01:41:59 AM »
I haven't bought them yet, and I'm afraid they might not fit in. Anyone have experience putting them in an S model? I have a S7420QM. I'm mostly worried about

1) the pickup height (if it's too tall) and
2) where you screw the pickup in itself. is this a standardized length?

Thanks for any help provided! I trust my measurements but would feel more comfortable if someone else had experience!

You will also want one of the pickups to be reverse magnetic polarity if your Ibanez has a 5 position switch - this is important to get all the sounds right

Thank you both, I will definitely contact them concerning the pick up mounts. I plan on working with a good luthier to install these for sure!

I've put both long and short legged PUs in an S series Ibanez. Fit fine.

I did have to shorten the mounting springs to get them to the right height though which is not a big problem.
Got a few guitars - old to new and Boogie kit.
BKPS: Rebel Yell, Holydiver

Love old valve amps... But then I am biased!
