Satch is playing the Manchester Apollo on the 16th of June. I've just bought 2 tickets. He's playing other UK dates too but I can't remember what they are. His American and South American legs will have Eric Johnson in support, I'll be mega annoyed if that's changed for the UK. Us in the UK have already been shafted by his record label. His new album comes out on the 14th of March in USA, 21st March everywhere else, apart from the UK, when it comes out April 24th! :roll:

Anyhoo, am well excited. Satch and EJ are my 2 fav electric guitarists, would be incredible to see both of them :D.

i saw satch in dublin a couple of years ago, it was awesome.

Congrats on getting the tickets! Don't hold up too much hope for EJ coming too, though, the support is frequently different in europe :(

Hmm. Just checked his tour dates and there are only two shows in Canada and both of them are on the other side of the country, dammit.

gah, no dates in dublin as yet, just manchester and london.

I'll not give up hope just yet, but at least i can console myself if he doesn't come, with the fact that i've seen him before!

:D Were the Hell did you find out tour dates ? I`m a member of the Joe Satriani.com site & i`ve been checking for the last week for the tour dates in the UK & i can`t find any UK dates at all !!

Were in London will he be playing ?

I've seen Satch at manchester apollo a few times now.. this time will be no exception I shall be there again.

Satch came to Perth last year touring his new album and I was lucky enough to see him. Awesome.

I will say one thing though... He uses a LOT of upper frett board action in his show and this can get really painful after nearly two hours.

Painful in a physical sense and not boredom :lol: .

I managed to find my way to an abandoned spot right next to the stage. I thought I was the luckiest guy in the place, for about five minutes. Then I realised it was abandoned coz it was right in front of the main house PA speakers.

My tip would be take some ear plugs that cut out the very top end frequencies.

Or do what I did and chew on my ticket stub and them jammo it in my ears :lol:

I'm going to the one at wembley i think. think its wembley - its definately a london venue :P
