New track: 63 Veneer/Abraxas: Instrumental Rock
« on: September 05, 2014, 05:59:28 AM »
This is my latest single, "They Fell to Earth".

I grew up in New Orleans, LA and moved to LA after Katrina hit. I write concept songs that are usually inspired by images I find striking; if it stirs up an emotion, I'll write a musical narrative about the subject. In the case of the latest single, I came across an image of a piece of art by 18th century genius, Gustave Dore, which depicted the fall of Satan from heaven (see below). What a cool topic to write about!

Without further ado, here's it is: https://soundcloud.com/frankdesalvo/they-fell-to-earth

I hope you diggit!

Cool track, great production! Are the drums live, or programmed?

Thank you!  They are programmed.  With careful eq, panning, and reverb work, they can confuse the most astute ear!
