As some of you may remember, I asked for some advice in here a long time ago, about which pickups to get for my custom guitar. Everyone resoundingly recommended the Holy Divers, so I bought them, and I could not be happier! Anyway, this thread is just to update everyone and show off my finally finished new custom guitar...two years in the making!
So before you scroll ahead, there is a picture gallery of every step of it's creation (almost), but here she is first, finished, in all her glory!
Me covering Joe Satriani's Up In The Sky
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wNgC0IopXHo&feature=youtu.beSo it all started as an idea...

Built by Sims custom shop (Alder body with a music note design cut into it to be made into a plectrum holder)

Initial idea for the neck (Maple and Indian Ebony, custom symbol for 12th/24th frets)

Built by Sims again

1 + 1 =

My BKP's arrived! :D (Holy Divers)

Then I ordered all gold hardware (Stetsbar bridge)

Plus some Sperzel locking machine heads

And a little vanity Truss rod cover :D (My initials are CL, it's my first custom, and her name is Aurora)

I bought a very fancy paint, that changes colour depending on your angle of view, and tested it out...on a grinder...

Then painted the body! (There were a sealer coat, a primer, two base coats under this, and a lacquer over it)

Assembled it for fun!

Wired in the pups... (3 way selector switch, plus a push/pull tone pot for coil tapping the divers :) )

Little bit of plastic tubing, and I have a plectrum holder!

Unfinished neck...

Strung up and ready to rock!!
