Oh dear, oh dear, no thanks... good singing, good playing but not my kind of thing at all.  And I confess I'd never heard of the show and I had no idea who Patrick Stump is.

It's better than Jools Holland though, I must say.

Yes .. I see it's got the notorious sideways vibrola which I believe Gibson have re-engineered to sort of work properly. (i.e. stay in tune and not crack/break!!).

I have the (supposedly) better maestro vibrola on my 63 SG but both models seem susceptible to some problems - e.g. low string angle over the ABR1 bridge (strings jumping off saddles), particularly if Gibson were slightly out with the neck angle, also the vibrola action means the strings are 'sawing' the saddles on the ABR1 - this was sort of overcome by Gibson either using a modified bridge (curved underside/ oversized post holes) and/or using 'domed' thumbwheels on the bridge posts (apparently a few left the factory with either standard bridges or normal flat thumbwheels so had no chance of staying in tune). My SG has domed thumbwheels (although I did not originally know why and have sometimes put them back on 'upsidedown'). Constant use of the vibrola, rocking the bridge doesn't do the relatively flimsy bridge posts any favours. I have fitted a distressed Callaham ABR1 and bridge posts (still have the originals safely stored!) and this has greatly improved the tone and tuning stability, although I don't use the vibrola much.
