Fender Stratocaster - «wolf in sheep's clothing»
« on: June 07, 2015, 07:49:40 PM »
Hello! I have a really nice Fender Stratocaster Yngwie Malmsteen signature from 2003 which is all original. The clean tones are really nice, and the neck pickup sounds very smooth with heavy distortion, not very far from my Cold Sweat neck actually. However, the bridge sounds really thin, both clean and with distortion... And because it is a signature model, I would like to buy a prewired pickguard to easily put it back to original in case of resale or such. As mentioned in the topic, I want it to be a "wolf in sheep's clothing". I have decided that I want the sinner set, but I am not sure if I want the baseplates on all of the pickups (I will at least have it on the bridge pickup anyway), and I am not sure about the staggering either... And how would it look with an aged finish? Except for the scalloped fretboard it will look like an innocent blues strat, but when you plug it in it will scream!  :afro:
I think the Sinners will be a perfect match, especially when I replace the tremolo with a Callaham due to high E string slipping.
BKs: Black Dog (b), Riff Raff (b), HSP90 Nantucket (b).
