Thanks guys. I shall take your advice and get the HD bridge. Any other thoughts on neck pickup? Would everyone agree the emerald?

Emerald is great fit and extension of the bridge feel. Perfectly between vintage and modern, smooth, singing, warm in the vintage sense, yet with a more modern attack and cut.
Alternativly the HD neck is also awesome, though more bright and vintage.
BKPs in use: 10th set / RY set / Holy Diver b, Emerald n / Crawler bridge, Slowhand mid MQ neck/ Manhattan n
On the sidelines: Stockholm b / Suppermassive n, Mule n, AM set, IT mid

Agree 100%. The Emerald and Holydiver neck models are easily my favourites in the whole BKP range. Both are so fantastic that I really struggled to choose between them. The Emerald is thicker, smoother, hotter and very fluid whereas the Holydiver has more of a PAF feel but much more articulate thanks to the magnet. If you want the emphasis to be on 'modern' with a vintage feel, go Emerald and if you'd like it the other way around, go Holydiver. If I was buying another BKP neck humbucker I wouldn't even consider looking at anything but these two.
BKP owned:

Bridge - Emerald; Cold Sweat; Crawler; A-Bomb; Holydiver; Miracle Man; Sinner; Trilogy Suite

Neck - Emerald; Cold Sweat; Crawler; Holydiver; Sinner; Trilogy Suite

I love the Abraxas for power metal.  Don't laugh - it gets pretty heavy.

Here's a track showing off how tight the Abraxas can be on the low E for rhythm and it's lead voice.  I never tune down below D, so if that's your bag, you need a contemporary hb.

On the HD side, I found that it was a fun, albeit one dimensional pickup for my taste - at least, in the context of my rig.
