The Mule been known as being able to do Ozzy type heavy. The master, Tim, himself uses it for that. For a bit more the Abraxxas is something to look at. In essence a beefed up mule. More output, little less high end, more mids and more bass. Still vintage at heart, fully doing classic rock and blues, but with more ability to handle high gain. Should have no issue with the music you play. Well except for maybe tool, but no pickup fully can get what that man creates, taking the best parts of multiple amps.
One up from there then would be the Holydiver. Classic hot rodded PAF. Often compared to the JB too. Definetly a choice to consider here as I can see it do those styles you name wonderfully too. Since it is 80s style it also is not a modern pickup. Warm at heart that one and great in something like a setius.
