question about volume pots and spacing
« on: April 08, 2006, 07:33:18 PM »
hello,

I'm going to replace the pickup in my guitar with a Nailbomb.  this guitar has a single bridge humbucker, single volume pot, and nothing else.  when I replace the pup I also plan to replace the jack, pot, and wiring.

will a standard CTS Brand 500k pot work okay with the Nailbomb?

also, this guitar has an Original Floyd Rose tremolo.  do I need to order a Nailbomb with the 52mm spacing?

thanks

^ i don't see why that pot wouldn't work, but I'm not sure, so wait and see what anyone else who knows says.

You'll probably need 52mm for the floyd, but to be safe, measure the distance from the poles under the low and high e string to be sure.

The answer is YES to both your questions.

A 500k pot will work great with a Nailbomb, and 52mm spacing will work just fine with your OFR.
