Awesome player and tone.

The best strat singles i've used for overdriven blues stuff is the irish tour. These sound a little hotter than those and a little less traditional. Maybe the sinner is what you're after. The IT's will still get there.

Yep, Irish Tours. Great for SRV, but also Hendrix and RHCP if you turn the volumeknob a tad down. Then you end up in Mother's Milk terrority. Full blast the IT's are grittier than Mother's Milk with more bass, more mids and a bit less spank in the topfrequencies. I play them now for years and they are in my workhorse, a custommade MXG (by Patrick Eggle) strat with a Crawler in the bridge.
