Acoustic guitar pedal board
« on: August 06, 2016, 01:43:05 PM »
I am starting writing/primary tracking on my Symphonic Folk album this weekend. Excited!
This is the pedal board I put together for the occasion:

The Aura 16 actually fits just fine on the board, the photo angle is weird. :)

The acoustic guitar signal is split at the Mel9. The acoustic signal goes Aura > Lexicon > SSL > interface. The Mellotron signal goes Lexicon > SSL > interface.

Wow, you selected some might fine pedals. How is the tracking of the Mel? I read some complaints about it: it doesn't track as good as the C9. That would be a bad thing, since the sounds are amazing.

Thanks! It tracks well -- perhaps TOO well lol. You really need a compressor in front of it to even out the dynamics and keep the audio consistent from the Mel9. If you do that, it works just fine!

Yeah I read that the compressor is a necessary tool for the Mel9, Key9, B9 en C9.

Nice sounds. The most difficult part is not to play and think as a guitarplayer.

The C9 plus the necessary compressor is on my wishlist, just don't have enough space on the board. Maybe I should make different boards, as I'm playing currently in three different bands.
