Hi all,
I'm planning on making a bass with a JPJ setting, just to make it the most versatile beast ever, and thanks to BKP, the best sounding as well.
My question is which of the 4 Precision pickups available would go best with a pair of PE J pickups? I quite prefer the 52 and 65 sound-wise, but should I be paying most attention to the DC resistance?
PS: If there's more than one possibility, which one would you bassists with an experience of these pickups recommend most to get the kind of P-bass tone in Hair's Donna? (
