I kept reading things on the internet how good this pedal is, and I didn't really believe it.
I liked the SD-1 at first, but grew tired of it in the end. Then I switched to the OD-1 (actually a Thundertomate Taxidriver) which satisfied me for a very long time, but I was missing a tone control and more output.
I have a Klon clone from Juansolo which I use alot, but I was missing that Boss colouration.
Anyway, I decided to try the OD-3, scored one cheap on the bay.
Still in the dangerous honeymoon period, but this thing is great. It has the Boss edge to it, but with less bass cut and more transparency. The controls have been carefully designed to give a very usable range. This thing has alot of output and gain, but you can also turn that down n a measured way.
I was planning to mod it, but I don't think I will as I'm very satisfied with it as it is.
I might though get another OD-3 to try some mods.
Straight on my board, delighted with my purchase.
