Building a Baritone, looking for Tremonti/Devy high gain & clean tones

Hi everyone!

New guy here, quick introduction:
26 years old from the Netherlands, been playing for 10 years now.
Been playing different styles of rock and metal over time, and my current guitar is a Fender Mex. Tele with a Piledriver set which is perfect for my needs, for both high gain and clean tones.

The only thing I'm missing is a second guitar for the lower tuned work and I'm planning a Warmoth build for a baritone right now.
The plan is to have a chambered alder body HH Jazzcaster with a baritone conversion roasted maple neck (quite a mouthffull right?  )

In terms of tone I've always loved what Mark Tremonti and Devin Townsend have, both for high gain and cleans, so I'm looking for somewhere in that direction.
Currently my eyes are on the Alnico Nailbomb set, but I also had the quick idea of going for the Emerald in the neck for cleans but I'm not sure.
Next to that I'm starting to doubt if I should go with the chambered body on the guitar, I've heard mixed things about it being a good or bad thing for highgain etc.
So yea, any thoughts and advice on this are

I'd say you have two options here:
- Either plump for the leaner sounding of the contemporary pickups, such as the Impulse (clean and clear with tight low end and smooth top, specifically designed to be excellent for baritone applications) or the Ragnarok (low resonant peak with heavy mid emphasis for a more active flavour, but lean low end that handles low tunings very well). The higher output level of these pickups will mean you get excellent split-coil sounds for your cleans.
- Drop down to the lower output range such as the Black Dog (grindy mids, aggressive attack character under gain that easily keeps up with the contemporary pickups, controlled top end), where the natural low end roll off from the more classic wind means you don't get ugly low mid saturation when playing on thick strings.

Personally I'd say the alnico Nailbombs might deliver a sludgier sound than you seem to be aiming for here.

From what I've heard of the Ragnarok it's not exactly my cup of tea, the Impulse definitely seems a better fit though, I'm gonna dive a bit deeper into that one in terms of samples and reviews
