Pedalboards
« on: December 13, 2017, 09:17:12 AM »
I am wondering how many people here are into pedals and if they are prepared to share photos of their pedalboards.

Here is my pedalboard minus two pedals ... a Morley Lil Alligator volume pedal which I sometimes run between the two boards (my 'pedalboard' is actually two of the old pedaltrains connected together, a PT-2 and a PT-JR) and a Morley Dragon 2 wah that is arriving soon to replace a Dunlop Crybaby From Hell that I sold to help pay for a retube of my Peavey before we recorded a demo back in June.  I run three T-Rex Fuel Tank power supplies: a Chameleon and a Junior under the PT-2 and another Junior under the PT-JR.  The one under the PT-JR has a voltage doubler and a daisy chain to run three 18V pedals; the PT-2 has no daisy chains and each pedal runs on its own 9V outlet except one of the Boss LS-2s, which is powered from the power out of the first LS-2.

Under the PT-2:

The boards joined together:

The light show:

The signal path is quite complicated, to explain it properly I would need a schematic, but basically I have a digital delay into an anologue delay on Loop A of each LS-2, and on Loop B one LS-2 has a pitch-shifter and the other has the Space Echo.  There is a Boss FV-500L that acts as an expression pedal for the PS-6 and a Boss EV-30 dual expression pedal that controls the rate on the Boss DM-2W and the twist function on the Boss RE-20.

I had problems with that config when I had to set up in a messy room in a hurry.  The signal cut out and I couldn't work out exactly where.  I did have some signal problems with the Polytune and the ISP Decimator though.  So I simplified my setup considerably.  It now looks like this:

It is just the Pedaltrain 2 with the two power supplies under it.  The wah is last before the amp input, with the tuner, NS-2, and boost before it.
