Right, I went to see a few hardcore bands last night and a dude played one of these with no pedals -I'm talking about brewtal metal tone through an Orange!  Granted, he did have EMG's (I'll use NB's or MM's) but the tone was thick, full and very. very metal

Now, these amps have really interested me, no Eq on the clean, nice idea, let the pickup tone shine through.  Anyone ever played one who has an opinion on how versitile they really are?  How will they sit with a 5150 in the mix?

Andy!

well, i haven't tried that one, but i tried the 50 watter, and it got up to classic metal/almost modern metal with ibanez stock pickups, so with suitable fire-breathing pickups, probably.

you might want to try it first, though.

I posted a link to a guitarist review of one in another thread on here, it should be around somewhere.
