Black Dog and Mississippi Queen clip

ok, fourth time lucky...

(original post....)
so, me and my mate got a bit drunk last night and tried to set up my amp to record some clips

after about 4 hours of trying to set it up (and by that i mean drinking beer and laughing) we managed to get something to happen

this is kinda the result of that

(oh and i'm playing with the 5 bottom strings here, broke the other one in a slightly 'pete townshend' moment during the drinking phase)

rig is:

Me playing Epi Les Paul loaded with a A5 bridge Black Dog and A4 neck Mississippi Queen into my marshall AVT150X 1x12 combo, with a cable running from the emulated line out into the mic socket on my soundcard, which is then run into Creative Wavestudio.

Gain is all the way up at all times, the slightly less gain-y parts are due to the volume, tone and coil tap.

apologies for any mistakes....

oh and there is a couple of gaps where we knocked over a couple of beers part way through :D

lol, ahhh 4AM drunken noodling, I know thee well.  Brave of you to post it.  I'm impressed with the tonal variations you get with the Black Dog/Mississippi Queen combo by just adjusting Volume, tone and coil tap.  Tuning and drunk mistakes aside, it sounds like you were having fun, which is what it's all about!

Welcome to the world of digital recording ( I'm new here myself).  Do you think what was recorded was a good reproduction of how you sounded live?

well, you cant hear me and my mate shouting, due to the lack of a microphone in the mix, but bad singing aside, it's fairly close

am currently saving for a plexi head so my sound will change dramatically in the not too distant future
