BKP Audio Clips
« on: October 16, 2019, 04:03:42 PM »
Hi,

I'm new to the forum, and so, thanks for the add. I'm from London, Ontario, Canada (known as the "second best" London for the last 164 years  ).

I recently bought a 2013 Mexican Fender Strat as a "project guitar".  One of the things I want to do is to put in new pickups and I am strong considering BKPs.  I'm drawn most to The Sultans.  I just love the senuously soulful sound of these pickups on the sample audio clip.   However, I realize the sound and tone on the audio clip is as much dependent on the amp, signal chain, and the musician's playing.  Would someone tell me what was the setup which was used to produce the sampler audio clips on the BKP website.  Thanks for any info.

Paul

A lot of clips were done with Axe-FX as far as I know, but you might throw a mail at the BKP-team.
Mules, VHII, Crawler, MM's, IT's, BG50's.

Pretty sure Nolly did a breakdown of the gear used in a post (try doing a search of Nolly sound clips)

if you run anything through recording software etc, Nolly did provide the raw DIs of all of the pickups for the sound clips so you can reamp through your rig
