I'm loving the Abraxas BKP made for my PRS CU22, they just have added so much meat to the guitar sound, I love that guitar so much more now!
Now, the balance between my main 2 gigging guitars is a little off and I'm hoping to fix that.
My other main guitar is a PRS Singlecut 594, with BRW fretboard and maple neck.
They come stock with low-turn pickups, which are fine, just don't have much output to them.
I'm thinking of trying a pair of BKP's in this guitar and seem to have many options to choose from.
I already have Mule's in a PRS Hollowbody, and the Abraxas mentioned above in my CU22.
I may in the future swap which guitar these are in, so like to have variety to choose from.
I do like to use coil split for cleaner sections/songs.
I can't really decide between: Rebel Yell, VHii or Riff Raff's, or any of the many other options really.
Can anybody here help? (open to mix-matched pairs too)
There doesn't seem to be a lot of people using singlecut's with BRW and Maple necks, so hard to get any real feedback online.
I like my guitars to be pretty versatile, but generally want to have them to be best for single guitar cover band duties.
This guitar I might play anything from Pink, ACDC, GnR, Stevie Wonder, U2, Robbie Williams, INXS, Tina Turner, Jackson 5, Killers, etc.
Really quite a big range of styles.
It may switch between E and Eb tunings, depending on the singer.
I guess some keywords that I might like, balanced, full and versatile as mentioned above?
No interest in playing any metal or jazz with this guitar - it's all pop and classic-modern rock.
