Abraxas or Black Dog ?!?!?!?!
« on: November 03, 2019, 07:32:30 PM »
Has anyone tried both the Abraxas and the Black Dog in the bridge?
How do they stack up against one another?
I will likely choose between the two for a bridge to match with my Dimarzio Cruiser (bridge model) in the neck.

Any insight is appreciated! Thanks! :cheesy:

Black Dog - vintage(hot) output, I would say low output Holy Diver kind of pickup. Open, lots of mids, clear topend, deep bass.
Abraxas - mellower than the BD, more compressed with subdued highs (still sufficient), good mids, medium amount of bass, think a hotrodded Mule, Alnico IV is not the tigthest of the bunch, but quite balanced en musical.

You could have kept this in your first topic..
