Hey Everyone... Question for the group. Thinking of changing the Bridge pickup in my Charvel GG (Basswood Body, roasted maple neck), and want to do a set so they match (Zebra). It's got Holy Diver set in it now, and they sound great, but thinking maybe a little more modern (but not over the top hot). I think the Polymath would be the right fit, but i'm a bit worried about the Neck Polymath and the rated DC output. I really like classic PAF neck pickups, the Holy Diver neck is great, but I did swap the magnet for an Alnico 2 bar and that improved it.
Should I stick with the Polymath Neck? Or go with maybe a Mule or Emerald Neck? I've heard great things about those pickups. Would the Polymath bridge overpower the Mule neck? I currently have a trilogy single in the middle, and it's good, but thinking something a little less hot too, maybe slow hand?
