Nomad neck with Silo bridge set — Tele-like tone when split?
« on: October 27, 2025, 10:51:26 AM »
Hey everyone,

I’m planning to build a guitar using a Nomad neck and a Silo bridge.
My main styles are fusion, prog metal, and sometimes J-pop, so I’m looking for something that can cover both nice cleans and articulate high-gain tones.

There are two things I’m wondering about:

Middle position tone:
When combining the Nomad neck with the Silo bridge split, can that pairing get anywhere close to a Tele-style tone?
I’ve read that the Nomad neck leans more toward a Strat-like character, and while the Silo splits really well, it’s obviously not a true Tele bridge pickup.
So I’m curious if this combo gives that Tele sparkle and bite, or if I should look at something else for the neck to make the middle position more Tele-like.

Nomad neck performance:
How does the Nomad neck pickup hold up on its own — especially for clean ambient sounds and high-gain settings?
The BKP description mainly talks about the Nomad bridge model, so I’m not sure how the neck compares in terms of clarity and balance.

And one more small question:
For a HSS setup, do you guys think a Nomad / Triptych / Silo combo would be more interesting or versatile than Triptych / Triptych / Silo?

Any suggestions or thoughts would be super helpful.
