Well ive been giving this a think over, and ive narrowed it down a bit more. Well, hopefully. Ive been listening to the bands I listed before, trying to be more concise in what I want, and ive settled on:
Weezer - On ths Maladroit album, basically the rythm guitar tone for the whole cd. The tracks Take Control and Dopenose have it really clear on their intros. I also love the overdriven solo sound on this cd (the first few seconds of Space Rock are beautiful), and I would definitley like something which can do that as a neck pickup.
Secondary to this I also love the tone on the Donnas song Fall Behind Me, and their cover of Living After Midnight. If I can get this with weezer sounding pickups then thats great, if not... well ive already got an SG.
