Who plays the middle position on a Les Paul?

I tend to use it with the bridge rolled off to add some edge to the neck tone, or with the neck rolled off to fatten up a bridge tone.

I love that middle position for clean stuff. I would use the neck position more, but the pickup selector is in the stupidest place on that guitar!!!

What about some insanely technological solution, like a footswitch that jacked into the guitar to control pickup position? (Just idly brainstorming .... :))

Wayne the guitarist in the pot belly blues band uses both together, but turns the neck pickup down slightly to get that old greeny/Clapton sound.


But he is looking at getting some bareknuckles made out of phase, he uses irish tours in his strat which he no longer uses at the moment
