Okay, I know I am getting ahead of myself here, since I havent bought the guitar yet, let alone the BKP'ups to go in it, but no harm in doing research!
Basically I am gonna get a japanese strat, and a set of apaches.
I was wondering how involved it is to actualy fit the pickups myself?
My Dad is experiences with soldering and stuff, so if I can tell him what to connect to where its not a problem, is it basically just 6 wires to solder? Just copying the format for the existing pickups? Or is it a job for a proper guitar tech?
2nd question - How difficult is it to fit a S1 switching system? If I got a push/pull pot, is it difficult to wire it so that when down, the strat is stock, but when pulled up it adds the neck pickup?
Thanks guys
(I'm in the middle of my final uni exams at the moment, getting my new guitar when I graduate in summer. I cant wait, its the one thing thats keeping me going throughout my revision!)
