Abraxas Neck: What in the bridge?
« on: May 30, 2006, 07:55:59 PM »
Hey-appreciate any help you guys can give me!

I've decided on an abraxas in the neck of my les paul-alike (santana tone, please!) but I need a bridge humbucker. I play in a jam-orientated band and we cross between santanary style stuff and Neil Young down-by-the-river ish jams.

What would be a good match for the abraxas to get that sounds?

...is it possible!?

cheers

chris

Rebel Yell or Crawler should be nice ;)
Real men turn their volume to 11!

+1 on the Rebel Yell, would sound really good in the LP, and would be different enough to give you the wider range of sounds.....probably

Though the Abraxas bridge is in some ways the obvious choice, the Crawler bridge would give more grunt for some Neil Young rawkousness (and the Crawler neck is basically the Abraxas neck anyway).  The Rebel Yell/Abraxas pairing could be interesting, though!

Damnit I would have got some of those had I known I could!

I wonder could I have got a "Frank Zappa" set with Titties and Beer on them? :)
