I've used Klotz and Cordial leads in the past. Now I have a Spectraflex. Pricey but incredibly good.

After a previous "leads" thread here, I picked up a George L, which I've been using guitar/bass > computer for home recording, and it seems quite good.  Live, though the George L goes out of the pedals to the amp, I've still got some bog-standard cable (I forget the brand, but it was cheap) from bass to Sansamp GT2 pedal, and some nameless old patch cable between that and the Boss tuner pedal.

When I eventually trash the guitar>pedals cable, I'll want to replace that with a reasonably decent cable.  I like the George L, though I find it somewhat stiff, and while that's OK on "last mile" across the floor from pedals to amp, I wonder if it wouldn't feel a bit odd hanging out of the guitar.  Perhaps a quality-but-floppier cable is needed there (or perhaps I'll just get another George L and see how it feels).  I could also use some decent short patch cables to run between pedals .... Might just get the Planet Waves set ....

Ah i use Piranha cables too. Last a good long while and i get mine for aroun £13 for 10 ft i think. Ive had to replace one once i think but i treat my cables like shite   . I think that was after about a year of tangles and abuse, so i rate them   .

I've just bought Van Damme cable from Maplins for YEARS now with Neutrik connectors (I solder them up myself).  They sound as good as anything many times the price & always do well in guitar-mag tests.  Reliability is spot on too as I'm still using cables that I made ten years ago.

Hi there. I have been using for about 2 years now, evidenceaudio cables, they are expensive, but have proven to be excellent so far. :)

Back in the UK I've got a Horizon Steve Vai signature (anyone else ever seen one? got it through Musicians Friend in the US) and a Whirlwind, the Whirlwind eats the Horizon for breakfast, much more bite and power, the Horizon is smoother but I don't like shiny plastic cables so the Whirlwind is the winner for me.

Right now I'm using Custom Audio cables, everyone says they're really flat sounding and don't colour your tone and I've got no complaints so far.

Piranha cables sound good, are pretty flexible and aren't expensive.

Award Session make excellent leads - Klotz cable and Neutrik jacks - for a pittance:

Huh, those look like a great deal for UK-based folks, actually!
