:D Believe it or not i`m also looking at getting a new recording setup as i hate my BR1180Cd.

How doe`s Logic work are there any training/Educational type DVD`s as it were available ?

Remember i`m a novice when it comes to computers & espiecially recording soft ware so if i`m asking what for some of you are really silly questions then bear with it please.

Logic is not the most intuitive software. If you don't have someone who can give you a jumpstart with the program, indeed you should have instructional DVDs and stuff. This exists, check the apple site or harmony central.

But after some basics, Logic runs smooth and is very efficient. A MacBookPro and Logic Pro is the most efficient setup you can get. Listen to my clips in the players section, producing them was no effort.

So, interface wise, after some debate, it seems as if I'm going with either the presonus firebox or mackie onyx 400F......

I think I just may lay out the extra cash for the mackie....do you guys think it is worth it?

It is basically the only thing I have left to sort out, and it seems as if I'm taking the trip to GC tomorrow....

I've looked at the spec of both units you mentioned & the Mackie is the better unit imo (I like Mackie's mic preamp too - they are very detailed).
