Hey, I just bought a Strat neck licenced by Fender made by Mighty Mite, And I need to know how to measure where to put string trees on the headstock. Anyone know?

I fit the string trees after the guitar is strung up, much easier and ensures the string pull is completely straight. You can see from Strat photos where they sit along the strings in relation to the tuners. Sit the string tree on top of the two strings, move to the correct position according to the photo, with a nail or other suitable pointed implement mark where the screw hole should go. Drill the hole, fit the tree. Simple!

The other option is to get staggered tuners - and eliminate the string trees all together :)

Well, I have already bought some inline self locking Grover's so I'll do the former, but thanks for your help!

I was looking at those Grovers actually - do they have to have extra holes drilled than those that would be there with those that you get as stock on strats and the like?

I am not sure until I go home and take a look. i haven't installed them yet, but I don't think so. i think they are like the regular grovers which don't reqire another hole. Will get back to you on that.

That was funny T.O. yeh i am impatient . You get that way when you have a drill in one hand and the trees in the other. if i woulda had other kinda 'trees' in my hand, maybe i coulda waited
