Its rainy season and the little buggers are coming out!

Here's a tune I've been working on (and off, and on..) for a while. Its my same Charvel as the nailbomb clips but this is just using the middle and neck Irish Tours. The settings are more or less as follows:

rhythm- middle & neck, matchless chieftan model on the Line6.
'melody guitar' - neck pup with same setting,
first lead - middle pickup, matchless model with more gain, second lead neck pickup with Dumble model,
distorted leads, neck pickup with line6 insane model and wah
subsequent leads and melodies as before.

I'm not finished mixing and might re-record some of the tracks but I feel the need to share it as it is! The mix is a bit quieter than I wanted so you might need to turn it up

And I'm coming home

Like yer style, nice tones and great playing- I take it you're an SRV fan?

I'd really like to hear that played thro' a decent valve amp- nothing wrong with the tone, but you'd get the extra subtleties and nuances etc.

I never rated single coils ( on my 3rd strat) until I switched to BKP's- the pallette of tones is just amazing and can't put the thing down!

Cheers, amps are really not practical in my apartment, paper-thin walls. Literally! I put a hole in one when I opened the living room door and the handle smashed into the wall. My monitors make doors rattle if the bass is too high. But I agree, a good amp really shows what these pups can do.

I think I'd been listening to a lot of SRV before I started this recording, but I was also influenced by Vai's Jibboom (which, I guess, was in turn influenced by SRVs Scuttlebuttin').

My Only tip is.. the distorted sounds didnīt match the overal track.. you should choose a more bluesy, sound. ahahah thats kind too much agressive and not smooth enough to pair with the clean licks of the overal track.
anyway, i really liked it.
classy track.

Cheers JP,
I agree about the distorted section but I blame you for that 8)
After all, you wanted to hear a Irish Tour neck clip With Full Distortion, are you really asking me to play with LESS distortion???? :D
It does show that the pickups can handle any level of gain.

Dang dude,

I really like these single coil sounds you are getting...!   The clean AND distortion are rockin.

I definitely need some single coils.  Now the ITs are a top contender.

Nice clip
