hi i have a 57 les paul custom i am looking for a bare knuckle that will give me that cool billy duffy sound any idears what ones to use thanks

You mean the "Sonic Temple" period?  I think I remember reading an interview in which Duffy said he used Duncan JBs in both neck and bridge because he hated the sound of PAF-style pickups.

There was a discussion last week about which BKP most resembles the JB - I think the general consensus was the Holy Diver.
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

thanks i did mean from the sonic temple period onwards i was thinking of duncan jb but i would like to put BK in as they are made in the uk .I have see the cult live a few times he has such a great sound.So thick and clear if you know what i mean

Billy Duffy is 100% Duncan JBs in all but his white Gretch Falcon.

Therefore BKP Holydiver or Rebel Yell.

thanks i will try them out .I am a big big fan the cult got me in to guitar playing i am a very happy man at the moment  i  at last got a gretsch white falcon 3 weeks a go  so got that sound sorted got to try and sort the les paul sound
