Which one has a fuller sound? Also share any additional info comparing both of these pickups  :)

I have them in different guitars (MMs in Gibson FV & Warmoth Strat, NB in Les Paul) but I guess the simple answer to your question is "Yes" - as well as noticeably more output, the MM has a thicker sound, where the NB has more "cut".  But that's not the whole story:

The thing which amazes me about the NB is the sheer ferocity of the overdrive I get when using it.  "Chaos in a pickup" is a very apt slogan

Although not massively high output the NB has a wonderfully dynamic, huge, wide open sound with great harmonic overtones, & a very "percussive" feel to it.

What I'm trying to say is that it's not all about raw power.  MM & NB are two totally different animals.
BKPs: HD, MM, NB, PK, CS, Ab (b&n); Am (b only); VHII, Tril (n only); IT, Slow, Sult (m&n)

I would say the nailbomb was thicker, i had one in a strat and it was fat. I had a MM set in my les paul and they where quite bright and not very thick (still cool but not the tone i was after).

I think it's a tough question to answer cause people have different definitions of "thick". The miracle man to my ears has more punchy sound similar to an EMG or something while the nailbomb has more focus in the upper mids and cuts through the mix better. Both of them sound thick to me just in different ways..

I took it to mean more lower mids/bass, however in the post he says "fuller sound" which isn't strictly the same thing.

Listening to the riffs (not the lead) of Tim's Nailbomb & MM clips in the Player's forum nicely illustrates the differences between the two IMO.

Of course, in true BKP-forum style, nobody has yet suggested a totally different pickup than the ones asked about :) so I'd like suggest the Holy Diver - if you want "thick" this one is your first, last & only port of call

YMMV etc...

MM is like Massive Lows, Big Low Mids, Scooped Higher Mids, Clear Treble
NB is more like Chunky Low, Not too much Low mids, Loads of higher mids which grind, and lots of high end.

I'd say the MM sounds "bigger".. covers more ground..

I love mine, and it is certainly "thick" by your definition... really quite meaty sounding (in fact it moo's when you play F# :drink:)

I have to agree with Antag on this one-the MM has a huge lo mid thing going on and quite a bit more juice too whereas the NB is more dynamic and carries greater weight in the mid/upper mids.

What I find is the Nailbomb is smoother and more balanced and the MM has its output in its select frequencies.

I find loud ceramics are typically good for pinching, soloing, pinching, riffs on the low E string but not downtuned, pinching, cutting over the mix while soloing, and pinching where the Nailbombs can do all that and clean up too from what I've heard.

I cannot correctly answer this without knowing exactly what you are looking for in terms of thick, but if you want lows that will make the floor shake first, the MM gets it.
Real men turn their volume to 11!
