Is anyone planning on going to see John Mayall in Edinburgh in about 3 weeks time? It should be absolutely awesome, I didn't think I'd get a chance to see him before he stops playing live.

Has anyone ever seen him live? I have one of his live albums from not so long ago and it sounds beastly  :twisted:

I saw him at the Apollo in November 2004 with Chicken Shack.  He had Mick Taylor guesting on guitar (as well as Buddy Whittingham).  I thought it was a great show, not least of which was seeing John Mayall 20 seats away from me while Chicken Shack were playing (also meeting Stan Webb in the pub before the gig!!!).

Go for it - I'm sure you will enjoy it.
