More confusing wiring

Okay, im totally redoing all my guitar wiring, but my questions are...

Which diagram do i go with? my new kit list is as follows, 2 humbuckers - 1 tone and 1 volume pot - crl 3 way switch-capacitor - barrel jack

Do i use the top diagram wiring layout and simply replace the standard 3 way with the crl? or use the bottom tele layout simply replacing the pickups with humbuckers?

Also the new barrel jack i have has 2 tip connectors (short and long) aswell as the sleeve, not sure how to wire that in place as the original jack only has 2 connectors.

And one more thing, the tele diagram shows that the crl switch has no earth, is this correct? thankyou guys, its really blagging my head.

I'd use the Tele one, but not fit the cap on the volume pot.  I'd also remove the cap from the tone pot and fit it between the middle legs of the volume and tone pots (this is the Gibson way).

For the jack, I think you'll just use one of the tips (doesn't matter which).
