...for rescuing my latest Warmoth.  I got a bit over-ambitious, attempted to drill the neck mounting holes in a Warmoth neck & made a mess of it (lesson learned - don't attempt jobs that you don't have the correct tools for).  So I went over to Feline Guitars in Croydon this morning.  Jonathan drilled out & dowelled my mistake, drilled the other 3 holes, & also installed straplocks on the body for me.

They have some really interesting repair jobs in progress & some absolutely gorgeous guitars being built in the workshop (whoever gets that V will be a very happy man indeed).  As an added bonus, I bought a Feline/Hiscox case as I'd not yet been able to find one that fitted :)

I also held the famous orange burst "lion" (there's a pic somewhere in this forum of TO brandishing it at LGS) - it's a really nice guitar with a flawless finish.  Only got to noodle with it for a few mins (no amp) but it has a really nice resonance.

Tomorrow I will finish my Warmoth (only need to install trem, string it up, then do the action/intonation) - of course it has BKPs: MM bridge/CS neck :D

Feline will definitely get more business from me, cheers! :)

You are very welcome
Was good to see another BKP forumite.

That Warmoth guitar will be cool when it is done - I liked the double cream pickups- what were they again?

We have got quite a few interesting custom build projects on the go - I will try to get some more photos of yhose up on my site this weekend

As well as that we have some challenging repairs in too:
We have a badly fire damaged 1972 Gibson LP custom to restore and refret
A left handed USA Jackson King V with a broken headstock
And various other bits too

Great fretwork!

Oh dear, perhaps I spoke to soon.  Do you remember yesterday that you offered to finish the guitar off while I went into town for a few hours?  Well right now, I wish I'd said "Yes" & left you to it.

Perhaps I'm unlucky.
Perhaps my korina strat was a fluke.
Perhaps I'm trying too hard, or rushing things.
Most likely, I'm discovering that I don't really have a clue. :(

I second Johnny's comments about Jon/Feline's fretwork.

Jon's done some great work on (nearly) all of my guitars and I can't wait till I can pop down and order my custom from him.

It's always fun to go down, have a chat and see what's in the workshop!
