Miracle Man too bright in maple/alder guitar?
« on: November 17, 2006, 04:08:12 PM »
hi,

would a Miracle Man at the bridge sound too bright in a neck-thru guitar with maple neck thru alder wings?

would an all-mahogany neck-thru guitar better suit the Miracle Man?

this would be for old-school speed and euro metal.

thanks

Nope!

Certainly NOT in alder.

I have a MM in an all-maple guitar, and it's fantastic!

I have MMs in my Alder strat (OK, it's bolt-on, not neck-thru) & Gibson Flying V.

Maybe the Alder strat is a little brighter than the V, but not a great deal.  The MM still sounds awesome in it.  Certainly not overly bright.  Just very powerful & aggressive

I've got MM's in my Ibanez RT and it has an alder body. Sounds great  8)

Construction is the same as a jackson soloist/Charvel model 6 so the Miracleman would sound fab

It's true, i had two MM in a jackson RR3, and this was..... not good, middles were to smooth and basses were to tight, and the neck PickUp was twangy, totally contrasted to the liquid sound I search.

Now I have a tb 6 and a sh10 seymour duncan, better than the MM, but i think to change for a nail bomb(may be ceramic) and a cold sweat neck.

I think with mahogany, this will be awesome!

I'm still wishing for more bass and less brightness from my mircale man on my alder RR1.

I may replace it with a warpig.
