Trilogy Suite question
« on: January 05, 2007, 11:54:14 PM »
dumb question, perhaps, but are the Trilogy Suite single coils named as such because they give a Yngwie Malmsteen tone?  dunno why, but the word Trilogy makes me think of Yngwie?

thanks

As with all the BKP range, they're not meant to be replicas of anyone's actual equipment, but the tone is supposed to bring to mind that of the portly neo-classical shredmeister.

"Trilogy Suite" is a track on the Yng's third album - er, Trilogy.
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

as it should remind you of yngwie.. it's the closest you will come to his neck pup tone on trilogy suite, without resorting to vintage strats, a wall of marshalls and his fingers

I have Trilogy Suite neck and mids in an ESP and they definitely do have a Malmsteen-like shred tone to them.
Real men turn their volume to 11!

Rebel Yells + Les Paul = the Ultimate Rock Pickup.
