Billy Idol axe slinger Steve Stevens took delivery of a gold covered VHII humbucker set for his LP backstage at Download Fest 2005.
Already playing Mules in another LP which in Steve's own words 'completely knocked me out!', Steve got in touch and invited the BKP crew up to the show as his personal guests and ordered a VHII set at the same time. A totally down to earth guy,Steve was all too keen to talk pickups and get the BKP crew side stage to watch the show and check his rig and tone out. His tone, experienced first hand is staggering matched only by his own energy and perfomance on the stage.
The new Billy Idol band(Stephen McGrath,Derrick Sherinian,Brian Tichey,Steve Stevens)played a blinding set featuring all the hits along with a healthy dose of new material from their new CD'Devil's Playground'. The tour is set to go back stateside for the rest of the summer before hopefully heading back to the UK in Oct/Nov for some headline shows.
