Behringer cab question
« on: January 13, 2007, 04:47:12 PM »
Just traded in my Koch Multitone head & cab for an Engl Fireball. Great bit of kit, with tons of face melting gain on tap and a pretty damn nice clean channel to boot. But I think I might be compromising the sound a bit by using a Behringer BG412H cab.

Does anyone else use one of these? It's not the best sounding cab in the world and I'm just wondering if it's worth fitting some V30s (or similar), or if it's a complete lost cause and I should just save up for a decent cab.

Cheers,

Richard

not tried one, but it'll probably be made of cr@ppy chipboard.
I don't knwo if yu'll be interested but _tom_ pointed out to me earlier that Framus 2x12s are only £200 http://www.thomann.de/gb/framus_fr212_cs_cb.htm
impressive - since framus cabs are pretty much the king imo, and yu can switch weather yu want it open or closed backed 8)

Thanks for that.
I do recall reading somewhere that the Framus cabs work better with Engl amps than the actual Engl cabs do. They're a lot cheaper too!
Although I'm not sure if that's a general concensus or just one person's opinion.
