Hello All
I had a local guitar tech install a new BlackDog into the bridge of my geetar and paid good money for him to do so.
However, there is a problem.
Once plugged into my amp the guitar plays clear & fine for around 5 minutes.
After that, notes develop a distorted, fuzzy after-note. This occurs after the note has rang, sort of a fuzzy afterthought. It really is bizarre as it does take a length of time before it develops.
It's definitely not fret buzz brought on by the height of the pickup and the neck pickup I had him install at the same time (a Mississippi Queen) works fine, so I guess he can solder.
I took the guitar back to the tech this morning who is going to look it over and try & fix it. Though he did say it's probably a "component" problem, which makes me think he's going to blaim the BlackDog.
I have no experience of wiring so I don't know if he's done a good job or not. Before I took it in this morning I did take a photo. I'll try and attach it to this post to see what you think... It's in an SG so it should be wired for the pups to work in parallel.
Other than that, does anyone have any ideas to what the problem might be?
Thanks alot!
