7 string dc resistance questions

Just a general question.

Does the 7 string versions have the same dc resistance as the 6 string.
Is Tim compensating for the longer pickup with less wounds to achieve the same overall wire length or is there simply more wire in a 7 string pickup?
in short: do they sound alike? :?

The DC is close..........if I stick to the same number of turns the resistance goes up and the high ends rolls off.
In short the should sound almost the same as the 6 string version-obviously the low B add a new dimension though!
