I was just wondering if Tim can make "stacked" humbuckers for fitting in single coil routing slots... I was thinking about getting a Jackson SL1 because I have a good deal on one, but I would really prefer a humbucker in the neck because I like a really warm, thick, round lead tone... I've never seen anything about stacked humbuckers on here, so I was just wondering. if anybody knows anything, let me know...

i dont think BKP offer stacked humbuckers...

i have a Sinner (single coil) in the neck of my nailbombed super strat, its powerful!!

You can order 'Uber Sinners' aswell, basically super high output single coils 8)

We don't make stacked or hum cancelling single coils albeit Strat, Tele or P90 for the simple reason that I personally believe there's too much of a compromise in the tone.
Once a single coil hum cancels it sounds nothing like a single coil anymore and nothing like a humbucker either as the coil size and design is so different.The result is a compromise tone which sounds flat and under powered.
Put a Trilogy Suite or Sinner up in the neck and hold onto your horses-real single coil performance and masses of power.

I had planned on asking this question myself. I actually like what stacked 'buckers like the SD Hot Rails can do. They seem to offer a more powerful and much fatter lead tone than any single coil I've used. Now I'm curious about this "Uber Sinner."

To be pedantic, the Hot Rails isn't a stacked humbucker - the coils are side-by-side, so it's really a reduced-size, high-output conventional humbucker. Which is why it sounds as it does.

Personally I like some stacked pickups like Kinmans and DM's Virtual Vintage series, but then I'm more of a humbucker guy than a purist single-coil guy. They probably don't exactly replicate a true single-coil tone to more discerning ears than mine, but they're close enough for me.

Please don't flame me, single-coil fans. I know I'm "wrong", but I'll live with it.
