Hi
I was wondering if putting BKP in a VERY cheap guitar will be worthwile?
also, what guitar would you recommend (thin neck, hardtail, with at least one humbucker, for up to 300euro)?
thanks

should be worthwhile, i've seen reviews of BKPs where people have put them in cr@ppy cheap guitars which, after BKPing, turned into their main! just make sure that it is made of good quality wood to complement the BKP. i bet the new BKP would transform it, however bad it is

EDIT: with the specs you mentioned, it should be dead cheap. can someone please recommend? im not too sure, but my Vintage SG is pretty good, very accurate copy of the real thing. the original pickups (Wilkinson) and the new ones i replaced them with (not BKPs!) let it down though.

RG321's are fairly decent guitars, make sure you get from a good store ie they check for nasty faults, or one that does a setup....

Mahog body maple neck rosewood board...

you can pick one up for around £200 so $300ish maybe....

i find schecter, ibanez, and eastwood have the best quality to price ratio.  All made with decent woods (not so much ibanez...) but amazing contruction for their price nonetheless.
my maxon OD 808 really DOES make poop sound good

I put a Warpig/MQ set in a Richwood explorer that I bought for 110 quid!!  However I had to upgrade all the electronics (including wiring),  bridge, tailpiece and tuners.  That cost me almost as much as the guitar!!

I just bought a Raven West semi-hollow PRS clone off ebay.  It was only $295 and the HC reviews seem good.  I am not sure what pickups to put in it yet - I am thinking that my PG set might be a good match when they arrive, bit I know me so I won't be able to wait and I will pull the pickups from something else for now!
So many pickups, so little time
