Which pickups for a Dean ML 79?
« on: February 27, 2007, 04:11:38 PM »
Hey guys, I want to upgrade my new Dean ML 79's pickups and wondered if you could give me some help. I want really heavy sounding pickups for metal, specifically for sounds like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Firewind, Mastodon etc. Here's some info on the guitar to save you bustin' your humps to look for it

Body: Mahogany
Neck: Mahogany
Fretboard: Rosewood
Frets: 22 (if that makes a difference)
Pickup configuration: HH
Bridge: Tune-o-matic with string-thru

I'd like pickups in the same colour as the stock pickups, cos I really like the look :)

Thanks much

Miracle Man bridge Holy Diver neck. that way you can get the CUT and the chuggy Bass. although it might not be bright enough (kinda sounds stupid saying that) you could go for a Warpig, Nailbomb combo but that wouldn't be my taste.
Must make the best guitar ever!!

I'll say Painkillers just 'cause you have Judas Priest up there and I'm having an obsession with them atm :P

anyways I can't really contribute, wait for the experts to come
