I have an Ibanez Prestige RGA121 (wizard neck, arched top, mahogany body, maple top) on the way. Well, these play like gods, so, I'm going to upgrade the electronics (capacitors, pots, and pickup selector switch) and buy a set of bareknuckles for it, and hopefully it will become god-like in all aspects
So, here's my choices.
I'm thinking about going for an all out metal setup with a Ceramic Warpig in the bridge and a custom Warpig voiced more like the Cold Sweat in the neck (this is what TonyGibson recently got and was raving about.... sounds nice to me :))...
OR going with a medium/fairly hot versatile set of pickups for shred. For this, I was thinking either a Nailbomb bridge/Cold Sweat neck or Miracle Man bridge/Cold Sweat neck. This set would be aimed at being good for shred, and still being able to be pushed for metal, but also being a little more versatile for other styles since it's not over the top like the CWP...
I'm not sure what to do. Tell me what YOU would do, and convince me of your opinion. :P
