I voted 11-50, but doing some research I noticed that Eric Johnson's sig sets are 10-50 and 11-52, so I reckon that something like 50 or heavier would be a good match.

I think either the .011 - .050 set or the .011 - .052 set make a lot of sense.

Actually D'Addario makes a .011,.014,.018,.030,.042,.052 set.  It would be a great set for dropping down to D or so.

D'Addario EXL 120 Gauges 09-11-16-24-32-42 on the eletrics at this time I have used 11's but I'm pretty much still a NooB on guitar and i like to be able to bend with out meat slicing my finger tips .

We took notice and have decided to make them 11-50
The gauges go 11,14,18p,28,38,50

This will allow a better tension for players to play drop D tuning

the sneak peak of the artwork doesn't work for me for some reason... EDIT: the one above this post does (looks nice!), but the one on the first page of this thread in the original post doesn't.

Didn't vote, I've never tried 11's... I've recently been experimenting with drop d, and that's scary and out there enough for me, I think.

heh, used to be the other way round for me: Drop D = gooood
standard = baaaad

until i found i sucked at Drop D songwriting and my powerchord technique had almost faded..... so i changed back to standard. DOWN 3 SEMITONES!!! my songwriting has never been this good.

anyway, nice strings Feline, any chance of a heavy gauge in future? i might buy some 10-46s for my SG....... plus my Dad too might be interested in an experiment or 3  :)

I would have voted Earnie Ball Beefy Slinky (11 - 54), but it's not on the list  :shock:

I only use 11s when I tune down (C#, F#, B, E , G#, C#).
