I've played one of those, and damn, i'm still thinking about buying one.

The one i tried sustained for DAYS. but there was damage on a single fret wire so it had to be taken back... if it werent for that, i'd have sold some other gear and bought it without a seconds thought.

The tone that this one had was spectatular too.

I don't believe in expencive guitars, i'd say £600 is the max i'd ever pay, i don't see the point in paying more, and i'd easily had paid £400-500 for the one i'd played, if it didnt have the dinted fret wire. All the other frets were perfect and mega-smooth though, must've been in transit.

I'm going to try and find another one and see if it's just as good...

Then i'd get that PG bkp set... naturally...

I am amazed at the quality of some  Vintage guitars.

I bought a Vintage Les Paul Goldtop a couple of months ago - on offer new on ebay for £129 (normallly £229) and replaced the Wilkinson stacked P90s with a set of BKP P91s. (OK it was an excuse to justify getting another set of BKPs  :) ). I have a (good) 1990 Gibson LP Standard and the Vintage compares well with it in terms of weight, finish, playability etc. As it says in the review, the head and the cutaway are slightly different than the Gibson and I replaced the cr@p white truss rod cover with a bell/tulip one (£2.99 ebay).
