Miracle Man schematics/wiring in a PRS
« on: March 27, 2007, 01:49:57 AM »
I just recieved a Miracle Man last week and am having trouble with the wiring. I used to the wiring BK suggested through email and it's giving me a loud line noise when the guitar is not being played. Also, the tone is SLIGHTY twangy and is lacking a bit of tightness. I feel that I have something wired wrong and maybe some of you guys can help me out, especially the PRS owners.

It's a PRS Custom 24 with a 5-way rotary switch.
MM = Bridge     PRS Vintage Bass = Neck

Thank you guys so much.

Use this diagram:

The red is north, keep the green and white together, and black and screen to earth.  If you get hum when you are in the inbetween positions, then the magnet in one pickup might need reversing, but usually the vintage bass has the reversed magnet.
So many pickups, so little time
