Misc Quesion and Wiring help needed

I have 2 Bk PUPs - painkiller and a nailbomb  how can i tell which is which ?

I have an old Charvel Srat which currenly has what i think is the painkiller in it but its very very noisey so i think i may have missed a ground or something but i also bought a copper shielding kit from stew mac which i am going to install later today.. For sake of getting through this post i am going to assume its 4 conductor as the nailbom i have not installed is (i think) looking at the wires coming out of it ...  nailbomb has white/green taped up, red, balck and silver taped( had this insntalled in another charvel) Assuming the painkiller has simialr wires (will post pic later if not) what goes where...? below is what the charvel has ..

1 Volumn (500k) i believe i have a 250 also if it matters and i should switch them?
3 on off toggles

I has 2 SS in it but i did no hook them up and cut he wires safe to assume these would not cause any extra noise correct?

The pain killer is 4 conductor and i have it wired with the red to volumn , Green & white taped black & bare ground to copper shieding tape with trem ground...

I have no idea if this is right as i can not find an accurate schematic... HELP !  lol

that soudns right to me

red to pot tag

green & white taped off

black and bare soldered together to the back of the pot

and you should stick with 500k pots for humbuckers
